Image of Morpho

A dead Blue Morpho butterfly in leaf little in Corcovado National Park. I used a wide-angle lens positioned almost on top of the butterfly and a 2 minute exposure to get this shot. About a minute in, I began slowly zooming in and out to add a feeling of movement to the photo. The Blue Morpho, rivaled only by the Scarab beetle, is one of the world's most reflective animals, meaning that its body reflects a higher percentage of light than that of any other animal on Earth.
